You are Woven With Joy

Psalm 139:13

“You knit me together in my mother’s womb.” — Psalm 139:13

There is something sacred about an ultrasound image.

Long before a baby is held in loving arms, God already sees every detail. Before a name is spoken aloud, before tiny feet take their first steps, the Lord is carefully weaving together a life with tenderness, purpose, and love.

Psalm 139 reminds us that none of this is accidental.

Every heartbeat.
Every tiny movement.
Every delicate feature.
Every breath yet to come.

All of it is formed by the hands of a Creator who lovingly knits life together.

And in that truth, there is joy.

Not just the excitement of new life, but a deeper joy — the reassurance that God is always working, always weaving, always creating beauty even when we cannot fully see it yet.

Throughout Scripture, God is shown weaving together sorrow and hope, waiting and faithfulness, prayers and redemption into something beautiful. Often, we only see small pieces of the tapestry while He sees the finished design.

An ultrasound is a quiet reminder of that miracle.

What looks hidden is still growing.
What looks unfinished is still being formed.
What cannot yet be fully seen is already deeply known by God.

That is how the Lord works in our lives too.

He weaves joy into ordinary moments.
He weaves peace into uncertainty.
He weaves hope into waiting seasons.
And He gently reminds us that we are never forgotten.

Just as He knits together a precious child in the womb, He is also weaving together every detail of our story with purpose and care.
