What’s stealing your joy?

Casting all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7

Stress has a way of stealing our joy. For years, I tried to carry everything — caring for a special-needs child, working full-time, raising two other children, keeping up with sports, school activities, and the endless responsibilities of life. Somewhere along the way, I realized I was carrying burdens God never asked me to carry alone.

Many of us live trying to hold everything together and manage everyone around us. We walk through life tense, exhausted, and anxious, believing it all depends on us.

But God gently reminds us: Cast your cares on Me.

Choosing joy does not mean life is easy. It means trusting God enough to loosen our grip on control and rest in His care. Joy begins to return when we stop carrying the weight of the world and place it into the hands of the One who truly holds it all.
