Hearts Filled with Joy

There is something deeply comforting about Psalm 28.

David begins by crying out to God in desperation, feeling weary and vulnerable. But in the middle of his prayer, something changes—he remembers who God is.

“The Lord is my strength and shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices.” — Psalm 28:7

David’s joy did not come because life suddenly became easy. His joy came because God heard him, strengthened him, and became his shield.

Sometimes joy is not loud celebration. It is found in quiet mornings, shared moments, an open Bible, a sunrise, and the reassurance that God is near.

God weaves every part of our lives—the burdens, prayers, waiting seasons, and blessings—into something beautiful. As we trust Him, He remains our Strength, our Shield, and the One who fills our hearts with joy.
