Absolute Joy

So often we forget that our Bible was written by real people with real problems. Psalm 16 was written during a difficult season in David’s life when he faced danger and uncertainty.

In this Psalm David reminds us that real joy is rooted in God’s presence — knowing that God was his refuge, protector, and the One guiding him on the path of life.

That kind of joy becomes part of the beautiful tapestry God is weaving through our lives. Some threads hold seasons of peace and celebration, while others are woven through trials and waiting. Yet through every season, God’s presence remains constant.

And the beautiful truth is this: the joy David experienced points us to the lasting hope we have in Christ. In God’s presence there is fullness of joy — both for today and for eternity
