Joy in Faithfulness - Epaphroditis

“For this reason, I am very eager to send him (Epaphroditis) so that you may REJOICE when you see him again and I may be less anxious.” Philippians 2:28

He was sent with a gift…
but remembered for his faithfulness.

Epaphroditus set out to serve—
to carry a love offering and care for Paul.
But along the way, he became seriously ill,
even close to death. (Philippians 2:27)

Still, he remained.

He stayed committed.
He stayed obedient.
He stayed faithful.

And when he returned,
Paul knew the people would REJOICE
(Philippians 2:28).

Because there is a kind of JOY
that only comes through faithfulness.

Not flashy.
Not easy.
But steady.

It’s the JOY of:
• showing up when it’s hard
• continuing when you’re weary
• trusting God in the middle of the journey

Epaphroditus reminds us:
Faithfulness may not always be seen—
but it always bears fruit.

And often, it leads to a deeper, richer JOY
than comfort ever could.

Lord, help me to be faithful in every season.
Give me strength to keep going, even when it’s hard.
Fill me with Your JOY
as I trust and follow You. Amen.
