Real Joy
Nehemiah 8 reminds us that real joy is found in God’s presence and His Word. When the people heard the Scriptures read, they realized how far they had drifted and began to weep. But the leaders encouraged them not to stay in sorrow because God was restoring them.
That’s why they declared, “The joy of the Lord is your strength.”
God’s joy isn’t based on perfect circumstances — it comes from knowing He forgives, restores, and walks with us. Thread by thread, He is weaving every season of our lives into a beautiful tapestry of joy. Even the painful strands are not wasted in His hands. His joy becomes the strength that holds us together, helping us keep going, keep trusting, and keep growing in Him.
