To live is Christ.

“For me to live is Christ; to die is gain” Philippians 1:21

If we are honest, how many of us would say, “For me to live is Christ; to die is gain?”

Most believers, if they are being honest, live for money, their job, power, family, and many other things.

But Paul said, “For me to live is Christ.”

Serving Jesus was his life.

Then he said, “To die is gain.”

How could he say that?

He’s OK with dying because he will be in the presence of Jesus.

And, if it’s not his time, he’s OK with that as well, because serving Jesus is his life.

Paul had an eternal perspective that no matter what happens, be it serving Jesus on earth or being in the presence of Jesus in heaven he was good with it .

He chose JOY because JOY is not based on our circumstances. JOY stems from seeing life from a heavenly perspective
