Faithfulness Surrounds

“Who is like you, LORD God Almighty? You, LORD, are mighty, and your faithfulness surrounds you.” Psalm 89:8

It’s a beautiful spring day. My peonies are in full bloom. As I look at the delicate beauty of the peony I am reminded that God’s faithfulness surrounds us just as surely as the petals surround the center of the flower. Every layer speaks of His care, His attention to detail, and His unwavering love.

The psalmist asks, “Who is like You, LORD God Almighty?” The answer is simple—there is no one like Him. His power is unmatched, His love is unfailing, and His faithfulness is constant. Through every season of life, He remains the same.

My God has been faithful through the good and the bad, the happy and the sad. He has been faithful in moments of celebration and faithful in seasons of disappointment. When the path was clear and when the way seemed uncertain, His presence never left me. Even when I could not see what He was doing, He was faithfully working behind the scenes.

God’s faithfulness is not dependent on my circumstances; it is rooted in His character. He cannot be anything other than faithful because faithfulness is who He is. His promises are sure, His mercies are new every morning, and His love never fails.

Today, I choose to pause and thank Him for the countless ways He has carried me, strengthened me, and provided for me. Looking back, I can see His fingerprints of faithfulness all along the journey.
